To sew silicone rubber bands without the machine's foot gliding over them, you can try using a non-stick presser foot or a Teflon-coated presser foot. These types of presser feet are designed to reduce friction and prevent sticking on difficult fabrics like silicone rubber. Additionally, you can try using a walking foot attachment on your sewing machine, which helps to feed the fabric evenly and prevent slippage. Finally, adjusting the presser foot pressure on your machine may also help to prevent the foot from gliding over the silicone rubber. **

Yes, silicone does stick to silicone. When two silicone surfaces come into contact, they tend to adhere to each other due to their similar chemical composition. This property makes silicone a popular material for creating airtight seals and bonding silicone-based products together. **

It is generally not recommended to apply new silicone on top of existing silicone. The new silicone may not adhere properly to the old silicone, leading to potential issues with adhesion and durability. It is best to remove the old silicone completely before applying a new layer to ensure a proper bond and a long-lasting seal. **
